The course covers the different areas and stages of child development as the basis and understanding for developing the preschool curiculum and environment to support children's learning and to work in collaboration with parents. Learning Outcome : To examine how the different theories of child development have impacted preschool education. To equip students with the core skills and competences to plan & implement developmentally appropriate programmes. To develop an overview of the importance of preschoold education and the roles of preschool teachers in Malaysia. To gain an understanding of the different approaches in preschool education which provide a stimulating and enriching learning environment. Targeted Participants: EC centre operator, teacher, principal and parents who are interested about early child development.
