Intake October, February The University of Bolton (UOB), began writing themselves into the history book nearly three decades ago, and successfully been awarded the status of University in the year of 2004. They are a private institution in the United Kingdom, made up of four Academic Schools and three research centres, with The School of Business and Creative Technologies being one of the their many highlights in the professional field of education. Opportunities to have a practical training in different areas of the accounting profession, i.e. accounting, auditor, tax consultant, accountings manager, financial controller, accounts executive, government officer, financial analysis, and so forth. Graduates of this programme would gain exemption for 9 ACCA subjects from the total of 14 of them.

1. How many intakes are there? When can I apply?
-There are two intakes per year (Feb and August).
-You can apply at any time before the commencement date of the programme. Applications will be accepted until the commencement date of the programme.
2. What are the entry requirements?
(SPM/O-Level) at least 5 credits for entry with study duration of 4 years
(STPM/ A-Level) at least 2 principals or UEC of 5B's with study duration of 3 years.
5.5 for entre to Year 1/ Bachelor Degree
6.0 for entry to top up Bachelor Degree
International Students are required to sit for placement test.
3. Is Bolton's Bachelor Degree in Accountancy recognised in Malaysia?
-Yes. The BA (HONS) in Accountancy programme is an international recognised Public University, and it is on pending approval from Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
4. Where can I continue my degree after completing my Bolton's Bachelor Degree in Accountancy?
-Students can continue with our Bolton's MSc. In Accounting and Financial Strategy at Mantissa College.
-Students can also apply to any other university (subject to meeting the respective universities' entry requirement).
5. What are the structures for this BA (Hons) in Accountancy?
-3 years programmes (2 Semester per year)
-6 papers per year (3+3).
-offer for full timer (weekday + weekends) and part-timer (weekends).
6. If I am in another Bachelor Degree course and would like to transfer over to Bolton's Bachelor Degree in Accountancy, can I get any exemptions?
-only apply for students previous University which had accreditation from MQA or MOHE
-Students seeking exemptions will have to submit the syllabus for subjects they are applying exemptions for. This is for us to articulate the similarity of the contents between what they have done and what we offer.
7. I am holding an advanced Diploma's certificate; can I get any exemptions if I join the Bolton's Bachelor Degree in Business programme?
- Students are requested to send their copy of certificates and their C.V; our programme leader will screen the students' qualification and offer them exemptions or bridging subjects in accordingly.
-This will be case by case issues and final decisions will be on the hands of Mantissa college's principal.
8. What is the schedule for Bachelor Degree in Accountancy like? How many days in a week do I have classes?
-The Bachelor Degree of Accountancy is follows University style schedules. There is generally about 5 hours per day, 4-5 days a week inclusive weekends.
